Published by Biblos and serialized in Zero Comics, Prince of Monster is a series of short stories filled with tragic and ironic events. As the title entails this compilation could be categorized under "horror", so please be warned. Some of the stories contain extremely violent as well as sexually graphic images. Like most of her work, they also revolve around same-sex romantic themes. As it is PM happens to be one of my most favorite Motoni publications, so even if you're so-so on the horror stuff, I still urge you to check it out. (^_^)
Fans of Motoni-sensei might consider the art in Prince of Monster as some of her best work. Her clean, crisp lines and familiar style of contrasting dark with light successfully create an eery feel to her stories. And as usual, the male characters are absolutely to-die-for with their trademark full lips and long eyelashes. I assure you these guys will make you drool! As for the stories, if you're a sucker for ones depicting sad twists of fate (as I am -_-), you'll definitely love these.
According to a friend in Japan, PM is unfortunately now out-of-print... But it shouldn't be too late! Since it was recently published (March of 1998), I'm sure you'll be able to get a hold of it.
